AVANT-GARDE!

Ashmolean After Hours 

5–8pm, Fri 20 May

Join us as we explore experimental art and new performance as part of The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities' (TORCH) season celebrating the Avant-garde. Experience the disruptive, creative energy of Avant-garde artistic practice across history and the world, into the present.

Make an evening of it and enjoy a meal or drinks at the Rooftop Restaurant. For this event, the Restaurant will be open until 9pm, with last seating at 8pm.

This exhibition, by New Delhi-based artist Manisha Gera Baswani, marks the 75th anniversary of India’s partition. It features postcards of 47 artists from India and Pakistan, all with a shared history of the partition of India in 1947.
